Top 10 Highchairs on Amazon

When searching for my own highchair I looked at tons of lists just like this. I'm sure several of you have too, and well, your looking at this one. 😀

This is a list of the most popular highchairs listed on Amazon the day I wrote the post. Things change daily, as does the popularity of several things. I wanted to try and put together a list that would at least help give some ideas and maybe help someone find the right highchair for them and their growing family.

If you click the name of the highchair it will take you directly to the page for it on Amazon. Most of these chairs come in different patterns and colors and therefore have different prices for those. The prices I have listed below are the ones specific to the chair in the picture.

I hope this helps. Happy reading!

Series of Top 10's

Hey everyone, I am going to do a small series of blogs that include the Top 10 most popular items in several different categories. All categories will center around babies and toddlers and will hopefully help other parents and potential parents out when it comes to choosing certain things. I know when I was pregnant with Eli I went through all the blogs and posts about the most popular, the most safe, the most used items when trying to figure out what to get for him. My hope with this series is that I can help other parents in the same way that I was helped. 😀

Our Story

I feel like I should introduce myself a little better than that little blurb on the side. My name is Tiffany. I am 34, and I am a single mom. I have one little boy who will be 2 in December. He is the absolute best thing that has ever happened to me. I live in a small town in Indiana and work at a local Indianapolis hospital as a Patient Care tech. In my free time, wait, what is free time?  Anyway, when I get the chance, usually before bed, I like to read. I also enjoy sewing, painting, coloring, crocheting, and being outside. I also spend a lot of time at my moms house, because why not right?

A little bit about my son. He was born 3 weeks early. I was induced because he wasn’t moving around. His heart rate was great the entire time so my doc wasn’t that worried. When he was finally born, 48 hours after the start of induction, he wasn’t breathing. To this day, we have no idea why it happened. It took the nurses 10 minutes to get him breathing. He was rushed to the nursery where I found out shortly after that he had a seizure. At that point the Neonatologist told me that he needed to be transferred to a hospital with a NICU. He was just a couple of hours old when he was flown to another hospital. I was absolutely terrified. I was told that he had something called Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy. He had to be sedated and cooled for 72 hours to reduce or reverse the effects that the lack of oxygen could have had on his brain. I wasn’t able to hold him until he was 4 days old. Despite his rough start, he was a model NICU baby. Passed all his tests, no signs of anymore seizures, was never on supplemental oxygen, and ate like a champ. He came home when he was 9 days old. 3 days before Christmas! Since then he has passed all of his developmental check-ups with flying colors. He is now a completely normal child. Well, maybe not normal, he is my kid after all.

So that is our story. Obviously there is a lot more to our lives than just that little paragraph, and I plan on sharing some of my wins and failures as a first time single mom through this blog. Not gonna lie, I’m just winging it so stick with me.

Hawaiian Punch = Bad News

I cannot stand Hawaiian Punch. I don’t like it, therefore I don’t give it to my kid. There is too much sugar for his little body to handle. His father on the other hand will give it to him. I have expressed on multiple occasions that I do not like this but he doesn’t listen. I unfortunately cannot control what he does at his house. However, this morning I had to tell him that it has to stop.

My son came home from his house last night in a bad mood, which is pretty usual for him when he comes home. I hate it because he doesn’t act like my normal crazy kid, he’s just a grumpy violent crazy kid. Not my favorite version of him to deal with. Anyway, this morning while I was at work I was notified by my mom that his diaper was not only a very bright shade of green, but that it also stained his skin. How? Turns out he mostly drinks Hawaiian Punch while at his dads. Not anymore.

It’s making him sick, it makes him angry, and it makes him violent. That’s not my kid. It has to stop. I explained all this to his father and I’m hoping that he listened this time. I guess we will find out. If he doesn’t I’m not really sure what to do.

So a note to other parents, if your kid is acting this way and drinks Hawaiian Punch, try cutting it out of their diet and see if it helps.

Diaper Escapee

Does anyone else struggle with keeping a diaper on your kid? Hell, even keeping clothes on them. If my son is wearing shorts and a shirt, he will strip them off, along with his diaper. He stripped down and tried to poop on my mom’s floor last week. I have been putting him in onesies and overalls just to keep him from taking everything off. He gets so mad sometimes when he can’t get them off.

My problem now is trying to justify spending the money on a bunch of onesies. I have bought several over the last couple of weeks, but they just get so expensive. I’ve even gone to places like Goodwill to raid their stash, but there aren’t many in his size. He’s a big boy. He wears 24 months or 2T. They don’t have many onesies in those sizes. He can wear some 18-month ones but not many and to me there is no point in buying them when he won’t be able to wear them much longer. I don’t know, maybe I’m worrying about this too much.

Toddler Bed

I switched my son to a toddler bed several months ago. He never really liked sleeping in his crib so he made the switch pretty easily. We started with just converting the crib with a removable rail, and then we upgraded to a full on toddler bed. He does really well with it. However, when it comes to napping at my moms house it's another story. He goes to my moms during the day while I am at work and has been napping for at least 2 hours at a time, which is great, but its in a portable crib. He's getting a little big for it so we switched over to a toddler bed at her house as well. Never really thought about it because he does so well at home. Well, he will not sleep in it. Freaks out. We can't figure out why. We even tried putting the portable one back up for him but he refuses to even go into the room at naptime. He will only nap on the couch or on somebody's lap. It's confusing and a little exhausting. We let him play in there during the day so that he can get used to the bed, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm at a loss. I have no idea what to do.

Heavy Wetter at Night

Having a toddler is exhausting, exhilarating, humbling, and interesting all at once. For those of you who have kids you know exactly what I’m talking about. They come up with new noises, words, actions, favorites, you name it, every day. No day is the same with a toddler. No toddler is the same for that matter. My son and my nephew are 5 months apart and they couldn’t be more different if they tried. Lol

However, I do want to say that diapers irritate me to no end. My son can wet through ANY diaper I put on him at night. I have tried so many different diapers. Normal diapers, overnight diapers, heavy wetter diapers. They are all no match for his little tiny bladder. Like seriously, how can a bladder that size hold so much?!?!
I digress, so anyway we had tried almost everything. Then I found Goodnites ! OMG lifesaver!! If you haven’t heard of these, they are amazing. Ever since I switched him over to these at night, we haven’t wet through ANYTHING! What?? And the best part about them, when you buy them from Amazon, they are FSA/HSA eligible. Now, I know that not everyone has either of those, but considering how good they are I think that they are fairly priced. With that said, we rely on those at night, but during the day we use good ole’ Luvs. They have been our OG diaper since he was born.
